Overview

ReceiptPal helps you capture, store, and organize receipts using on-device OCR. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

• Receipt images you capture or import.
• Receipt text extracted via OCR (vendor, date, amount, description).
• App usage data such as saved receipts and categories.

How We Use Data

• To display and organize your receipts.
• To enable search and categorization.
• To optionally sync data with Google Drive when you choose to sync.

Storage and Sync

• All receipts are stored locally on your device by default.
• If you enable Google Drive sync, receipt images and data are uploaded to your Drive.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Data is only stored locally or in your Google Drive when you explicitly enable sync.

Permissions

• Camera: to capture receipt photos.
• Storage: to save and read receipt images.
• Google Sign-In: to access your Google Drive for optional sync.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete receipts at any time within the app. If you use Drive sync, you can also remove synced files from your Google Drive.

Children’s Privacy

ReceiptPal is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy. If we do, the “Last updated” date will be revised above.
